This is my “I. MUST. HAVE. CHOCOLATE.” green smoothie. Not only does it taste like dessert, but with the addition of the protein powder it keeps me full all morning long. If your “sweets” is trying to cut back on “sweets” this Valentine’s Day, this green smoothie could win you major brownie points.
Chocolate Cherry Truffle Green Smoothie (Print Me!)
- 1 cup milk (any type)
- 1 LARGE handful greens
- 1 Tbsp. raw cacoa powder
- 1 scoop protein powder*
- 1 cup frozen cherries
- raw cacao nibs for garnish
*Note: I use vanilla protein powder. If using chocolate powder, cut the cacao powder in half.
Add milk and greens into your blender, blend until smooth. Add your powders, blend until smooth. Toss in your frozen cherries, and blend until combined.
Garnish with raw cacao nibs.
